Depression is a condition that has many levels, manifests itself in different forms, frequencies and durations, and can be measured with descriptors like mild, moderate, severe and clinically significant. Depressive states or episodes may or may not be initially recognizable to you, but may be pointed out by friends or family. Some common symptoms may be those that impact your ability to function at work, interfere with your daily tasks, or have a noticeable effect on your thought patterns.
