Relationship Building
So important are the relationships we develop one with the other. The single most important element is how we feel about and perceive ourselves, first. Others may take their cues from what we project; we may allow negative experiences to complicate our lives, but how we love ourselves is what keeps us, sane.
Our Mission
Our mission is to render quality therapeutic and clinical counseling services to children, adolescents, tweens, emerging adults and adults. The goal is to assist individuals where they are. As we work together to right the path, we pour into the mind and nourish the soul and enjoy the wellness and healing. When the work is consistently done, you become the change agent and begin to take control.
Our Practice
We are licensed, board certified counselors who specialize in providing professional therapeutic services for children, adolescents and families, teens and adults. Some will be provided behavioral and mental health services, while others will be provided career and college guidance and life supports. Our practice supports and is allied with the LGBQQI+ and Trans populations. After all, love is love!

Anita Barnes Wright
I am a licensed, national board certified therapist who would be best categorized as a “Generalist”; a therapist whose skills and interests vary in providing services for different issues or concerns with no one specialization. In my counseling orientation, I use a variety of clinical techniques which are driven by the therapeutic session. I believe in people and the work we do, and have compassion and empathy for the many challenges children and adults through the lifespan often face. Sometimes just a little guidance and support coupled with great information and a set of strategic tools help to create a positive forward moving path.
With gratitude, I freely share, that someone helped me along my path. I retired from public education as an elementary and middle school principal, counselor, and teacher. I have a great respect for educators, parents, children, and the journey. I understand that to be successful, we must take care of our physical health, and address the needs of our mental health. I am a native of Jamaica, New York in the borough of Queens, and have been living and working in North Carolina, the hometown of my late father, for over twenty years. I have one adorable son.
